Charleston City Historic Market

Charleston City Historic Market

188 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401

The #1 attraction in Charleston, the historic market runs through the middle of downtown Charleston and is a great starting point in a day tour of the city. Vendors of all types sell their handmade gifts, foods, clothes, etc. It spans over 4 blocks and if you lose track of time you could spend the whole day there!

Walk the Battery!

Walk the Battery!

The Battery, Charleston, SC

An absolute MUST SEE location downtown! The Battery is a landmark defensive seawall and historic promenade downtown that is home to some of the oldest Antebellum mansions, Civil War memorabilia, a massive oak tree park and a view of Fort Sumter. It's in short walking distance from the historic market.

Beach Fun!

Beach Fun!

Isle of Palms, SC 29451

Charleston is a short 20 min drive or uber to some of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast. We highly recommend spending a day on Isle of Palms beach, the prettiest beach with a variety of restaurants and bars lining the coastline. PLEASE keep in mind that April weather in Charleston is not always warm- daily temperatures range from 40 to 80 degrees. Visiting the beach during April will be weather dependent.

Visit a Plantation!

Visit a Plantation!

There are many historic plantations in and around the greater Charleston area. They offer fun and beautiful site seeing and historic tours in famous locations. Plantations I recommend: 1. Boone Hall Plantation -- Where The Notebook was filmed! https://www.boonehallplantation.com/ 2. Magnolia Plantation -- "America's most beautiful garden" https://www.magnoliaplantation.com/ 3. Middleton Place -- National landmark and Oldest Gardens in USA https://www.middletonplace.org/

Ghost Tours!

With all the history Charleston has to offer going back to the 1600s, taking a Ghost Tour is one of the most popular and fun ways to learn history, see the city and maybe even a ghost or two. There are many to choose from, some scary, some not, and some include beer. Book now because they book quickly!

Joe Riley Waterfront Park

Joe Riley Waterfront Park

Vendue Range, Concord Street, Charleston, SC

Need some space to breathe? Then visit the 10 acre long waterfront park, filled with beautiful views, benches, fountains, piers, and ocean view restaurants. A great place for a nice stroll, beautiful pictures, and fresh air just outside of downtown.

For all the days along the way
