Question

Will masks be required?

Answer

While there is no mask mandate in the State of South Carolina, the city of Charleston has a public mask mandate in place until 15 April. This is for downtown within city limits only, and does not include the beaches. More information can be found here: https://www.charleston-sc.gov/2408/City-of-Charleston-Coronavirus-Updates For the ceremony and reception, masks may be worn at your discretion (not required). We are excited to see so many family and friends getting vaccinated ahead of the wedding. We anticipate over half of the attendees will have been partially or fully vaccinated by the wedding and hope this provides some peace of mind.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Formal to Semi Formal is the dress code. Charleston is a stylish city, so don't shy away from dressing up! Formal long or short dresses; Men's suits may be worn with or without ties.

Question

What is Charleston weather like in April?

Answer

April in Charleston isn't winter but it's not summer either. Weather will range from 50 degree rainy days, to warm and sunny 80 degrees. Be prepared to accommodate both warm and chilly weather, and check the forecast before packing. For reference, the average high for April 11th in Charleston is 73 degrees, with a 27% chance of rain.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please inform us of any allergies when you RSVP, but no later than 1 March 2021.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, however we highly recommend Uber, or even walking (especially if you plan to drink). There is parking at the church and also at the reception venue but it is extremely limited. Additionally the reception location is only 2 blocks (8 min walk) from ceremony location! Beware that the City of Charleston is VERY strict with street parking regulations— if you take a chance you could end up with a hefty ticket.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Kids are welcome but must be RSVP'd to attend the wedding events. If you are bringing children under 10 years old please let us know so we can provide a kid's meal. We encourage you to make the trip to Charleston a family event, or a couples getaway :)

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

You must RSVP by 15 February 2021, but sooner is always better! If you do not RSVP you will not be allowed into the venue. Please include your entire party, travel dates and the location that you will be staying as well.
