Wedding Party

We did a little Q and A to help you meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Elissa Derksen

Matron of Honor

Favorite Movie: None Favorite Book: The Noticer by Andy Andrews Favorite Summer Activity: Boating Go-to snack food: Chips (almost any kind) Favorite Memory with the Bride: When we got massages for my birthday (worst massages ever, confirmed by Emily) and we walked out of there looking exhausted, oily, greasy hair and laughed all the way home about one of the massage therapists doing such strange rituals during your massage and the other giving me the people's elbow!

Matt Carlson

Best Man

Favorite Movie: Princess Bride or Threat Level Midnight Favorite Book: Proverbs Favorite Summer Activity: Doing anything outdoors Go-to Snack Food: Cheese and crackers Favorite Memory with the Groom: My favorite memory with Steve is gaining appreciation for his character and humor while bonding over sports during his last year at home. I guess if I had to pick a specific memory, the last game of flag football we played stands out because we got to guard each other and we knew that it was likely the last time we would play. We continued to play for an hour with my finger flopping around after Steve broke it while aggressively, though unsuccessfully, defending a pass. I get misty-eyed with brotherly nostalgia every time I look at my crooked finger and remember that I won!

Ceara Brockman

Bridesmaid

Favorite Movie: Most Christmas movies Favorite Book: House Rules Favorite Summer Activity: Camping Go-to snack food: Cashews Favorite Memory with the Bride: When Emily came over to my house in Hortonville to help with my wedding prep and she shot Jim's gun in the backyard! (The bride would like to note that it was totally safe and no one or any animals were harmed!)

Jacob Frey

Groomsman

Favorite Movie: Wedding Crashers Favorite Book: Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy Favorite Summer Activity: Fishing Go-to snack food: Peanut Butter M&Ms Favorite Memory with the Groom: Going fishing and after hours of no luck, resorting to using sticks and our smallest hooks to catch 3" Bluegill!

Hannah Agyekum

Bridesmaid

Favorite Movie: The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Favorite Book: The God of the Small Things by Arundhati Roy Favorite Summer Activity: Rollerblading (pre-baby) and strolling around the zoo (with baby)! Go-to snack food: Ants on a Log Favorite Memory with the Bride: The day we were together from daybreak to dark doing all of our favorite activities: working out at the gym, shopping for craft supplies, making crafts, going out to dinner, getting fancy cocktails at Standard Co, and then dancing! It was the perfect day with my perfect "modus operandi" friend.

Ben Bogenreif

Groomsman

Favorite Movie: Balto, but can also watch any Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movie anytime Favorite Book: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia) Favorite Summer Activity: Drive-in movie theater with my wife Go-to snack food: S'mores Favorite Memory with the Groom: Playing basketball until 3am then waking up and having 7am class. Days of watching Dragon Ball Z and falling asleep on our suite floor. Praise and worship nights on Wednesday's instead of basketball. My Graduation day, Steve had my back and stayed with me the entire day. Late night Taco Bell runs, inside jokes in classes. Honestly there are so many memories I can't pick! Steve has always been a best friend and I can't imagine my life without him!

Lauren Jahnke

Bridesmaid

Favorite Movie: A Knight's Tale Favorite Book: Unbroken Favorite Summer Activity: Kayaking Go-to snack food: Do tacos count?! If not, chips and guacamole! Favorite Memory with the Bride: So many to choose from! I would probably pick the times we go shopping together and she tries on at least one ridiculous thing...and usually she ends up doing a silly dance in it and we end up laughing obnoxiously!

Daniel Marenger

Groomsman

Favorite Movie: The Big Lebowski (not recommending it, but it's his fav!) Favorite Book: The Call of the Wild or Mere Christianity Favorite Summer Activity: Cutting the grass Go-to snack food: Pepsi, chips and cheese Favorite Memory with the Groom: The time in church when Steve was about 10 to 12ish where he was dressed up nice so they had him do the offering. When he passed by our seat he opened his jacket real quick so just we could see it and he had a bunch of toy guns duck taped to the inside. I think he was pretending to be James Bond or something!

Tina Kostreva

Bridesmaid

Favorite Movie: You Again (with Kristin Bell) Favorite Book: A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers Favorite Summer Activity: Campfires and 4-wheeling Go-to snack food: Apples and dip Favorite Memory with the Bride: There are too many to count! If I had to pick, I guess I would say ice skating together in Minnesota, falling and laughing our butts off!

Brandon Briggs

Groomsman

Favorite Movie: Lord of the Rings Favorite Book: We Were Soldiers Favorite Summer Activity: Camping Go-to snack food: Chocolate Favorite Memory with the Groom: All of our fishing adventures!

For all the days along the way
