Flight
From the airport to the Knotty Pine Cabin in Palmer, it is a little over an hour drive. You may Uber/Lyft/Taxi or drive your rental car. We recommend renting a car for the trip so that you can see all the sights Alaska has to offer prior or after the wedding. You can also coordinate with others from the wedding for carpooling.
Travel Note
We will be offering a large variety of snacks (muffins, eggs, rolls, coffee, fruit, yogurt, pinwheel sandwiches, cookies, chips, etc.) from a Costco run. This will all be available at the Knotty Pine B&B for everyone to share. Other meals we will be offering: Relaxed Rehearsal Dinner/Setting Up for Wedding-- July 9th (anyone is invited to help the couple set up) Reception Dinner/Celebration-- July 10th We are also planning a Group Brunch (Location TBD)-- July 11th (this is open to anyone and you will be on separate checks) You will be responsible for all other food/meals. Anchorage offers some great dinning experiences of local produce and ingredients.
House Or Rental
We rented this entire cabin in Palmer for the wedding weekend. The B&B is a fantastic arctic getaway for everyone! If you are interested in staying here during the wedding, please reach out to Ally and Josh. There are 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, the common space with several couches, lounge cabin with pool tables, a large beautiful kitchen, and dining room. Knotty Pine B&B is a fantastic arctic getaway for everyone! The cabin is conveniently located 50 minutes north of Anchorage, Alaska and just outside of Palmer. This is where the wedding party, the happy couple, and family will be staying. The reception/dinner will be taken place at this cabin as well. The Knotty Pine boasts 8 acres of spruce forest, which attracts frequent moose visitors. Our scribed 3600 sq. ft. log home was carefully designed to take advantage of the spectacular surrounding mountain range. Three large decks surround most of the house allowing fantastic views without having to step foot on the ground.

This is ridiculously priced, but it is historic/haunted hotel in Anchorage (it is about 50 miles away, 1 hour from the Knotty Pine B&B Cabin where the wedding will be taking place). Prices could range from $325+ per night. With 546 finely appointed rooms, including 96 suites, the Hotel Captain Cook offers a multitude of options to meet your needs.
