We met in high school, but never fully interacted with each other. When we connected- the same weekend Laura graduated college, and Hunter was home for his sister Kaylins wedding, we both had the same thought of “ I thought you were cute in high school but never said anything.” A month of texting and FaceTime led to our first date on June 19 2022, also known as Hunter’s birthday! We played mini golf, and got ice cream! Hunter went underway on July 7th 2022, also known as Laura’s birthday, and was scheduled to be underway for 3 months. Emails were not frequent, but what communication they did have was strong. When Hunter came back on September 22, they were both so excited to spend time with each other. On September 25 2022, Hunter and Laura went out on their second date, and both met each other’s parents. They then spent the next two weeks spending time together before Hunter had to go back to work on his boat in Virginia. During their three years they have: -adopted a dog and a cat -lots of FaceTime dates - went on vacation to the Outer Banks, Bristol, and Orlando - watched many movies and tv shows - lots of Target trips And so much more! Three years of long distance ended on June 14 2025 when Laura moved in with Hunter. Six days later, Hunter proposed! Laura had no idea he was planning on proposing, and had even joked with him that morning! Actual conversation: Laura- Are you proposing to me? (Finger guns) Hunter- No, are you proposing to me? (Finger guns) Laura- No? Hunter- Neither am I, Ava just wants to tour Cypress Gardens and take cute pictures Laura- Oh yeah true, okayy And the rest is history!
