We fell in love working at the same tattoo shop, having long talks in the car, walks after dark on the railroad tracks, late night movie and wine nights as friends. Both confessing at the same time, dating and getting engaged less than a year later. There’s a theory about the atoms at the start of everything, that when whatever sudden burst created the universe, it sent all the atoms close together flying apart, and when two people can’t help but be in each others’ lives, it’s because the atoms that make up there bodies were together at the beginning of everything, finding their way back; like soulmates.
