The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa

In order to get the room block discount, the hotel requests that you book by phone. Please go ahead and book your room if you think you will be able to make it, so that you have a nearby place to stay. You can cancel up to 48 hours before your reservation starts. They'll ask for the date of the wedding (May 9th, 2020) and the wedding party (Higgins-McKay).

Flight

Asheville Airport

Asheville is the closest Airport to Lake Lure (40 mins). We've seen reasonably priced flights from NYC and Kansas City to Asheville, especially if you book a couple of months out. Greenville-Spartanburg (1 hour) and Charlotte (1 hr 40 mins) are alternative options. Renting a car will likely be the most convenient option, but it is not required. All wedding events will be at the hotel or transportation will be provided from the Lake Lure Inn. Alternatively, you can take an Uber or Taxi from the Asheville airport to the hotel.
