What if our RSVP details are different for the new date?

Answer

First of all, please know we understand! We are aware that some guests' may not be available on the new dates... or maybe you were not able to attend in May, but you can join us in August. If your RSVP details have changed, please visit the RSVP section of the website and search your name to update details there (or email / call us!). We will look to re-confirm final attendance this June.

What do we do about our flights and hotel rooms for the new date?

Answer

The Lake Lure Inn is working on moving everyone's rooms to the new dates. You will receive an email confirmation. If you need to adjust further, please call them at (828) 625-2525. Regarding airlines, each airline will likely have a different process. It sounds like most airlines are doing their best to be flexible during this time. Why Lake Lure, NC?

Jolie is from Kansas and Sean is from New York. For a variety of reasons, the obvious options were ruled out early. We wanted to find a spot that our guests would enjoy traveling to without much trouble. After visiting a few options we fell in love with the natural beauty and relaxed feel of Lake Lure.

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes! In order to take advantage, please call The 1927 Lake Lure Inn at (828) 625-2525 and mention the McKay-Higgins wedding. The discounted rate is 10% off of the standard rates listed on the website (lakelure.com). The sooner the better as we would love for all of our guests to be able to stay with us! If your plans change, you can cancel with no charge.

Are children invited?

Answer

We love ALL of your children! In order to allow our guests, including parents, the opportunity to unwind and relax, we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are able to share our big day and will enjoy having the time off!
