Welcome Party

ATTIRE: Semi-Formal. Dress for a rooftop cocktail hour and for taking pictures during golden hour overlooking the Potomac River. Semi-formal attire is slightly less formal than cocktail attire. Outfit options include button-down shirts, dress pants, dress shoes, jumpsuits, tea dresses, and knee-length dresses.

NOTE: Please join us for Havdala, the closing ritual of Shabbat, at 9:00 PM to kick off the Welcome Party. TRANSPORTATION: Guests staying at any of the hotels at the wharf are within walking distance! Transportation will be provided for the guests at the Royal Sonesta Hotel only. Transportation will arrive at 8:15 pm.

DETAILS: Dinner and dancing to follow! DRESS CODE DESCRIPTION: For men, sport a suit jazzed up with a splash of color or fun twist like funky shoes, a colorful bow tie/tie, or a pocket square that pops! For women, think of bright colors, bold prints, &/or playful accessories. Opt for a fancy cocktail dress or tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress. Dressy jumpsuits are great too. Have fun with it! If the idea of leaning into color excites you then be our guest, go for it, & have fun! If neutrals are more your thing, that is perfectly okay too. We are excited to celebrate with you no matter what you wear. NOTE: Masks will be required and proof of COVID-19 vaccination TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will be provided from all hotels to Sixth and I. Yellow school buses will arrive at 4:15 pm and depart at 4:45 pm to take guests to the ceremony and reception. After the reception, the buses will run on a loop taking guests back to the hotels starting at 9:30 pm and ending at 1:00 am
