Flight
We recommend flying directly to Palmerston North airport as the other larger airports (Wellington and Auckland) will require additional transport i.e. buses and flights to reach the location of the wedding.
Shuttle

The bus will make a single trip each way between Palmerston North and Makoura Lodge for those who will not be driving to Makoura Lodge. (1 hour drive each way) Please let us know if you would like to reserve a seat on the bus. You are able to park and leave your car on Broadway Avenue near the church. Parking is free from 3:00 pm. Timing: Depart Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at 3:00 pm - Arrive Makoura Lodge 4:00 pm Depart Makoura Lodge 10:00 pm - Arrive Cathedral of the Holy Spirit 11:00 pm
Hotel
We have exclusive use of the beautiful Makoura Lodge which can accommodate up to 62 people on a shared basis. The price for staying there on the night of the wedding is $85 per adult and $70 for a child under 12. This includes a full cooked buffet breakfast to share on the morning after. Update: Unfortunately, there is no more capacity at Makoura Lodge. However, you are more than welcome to join us the day after for some fun and games including archery, clay bird shooting, Tyre in one golf, and other fun team activities/friendly competition (Please visit the Makoura Lodge website for pricing of activities ) and a BBQ. Details will be provided shortly but it will be late morning and finish early afternoon with a BBQ.
House Or Rental
This farmstays is 10 kms from Makoura Lodge with plenty of room. House has three double bedrooms for 6 people, and the cabin has one double room and two twin beds to accommodate 4 in total. Total for 8 - 10 people $500 per night. If less than 8 people it is $90 per couple. If you wish to book this place please make contact with Helma by 30 November 2019.

This accommodation is 25 - 30 mins from Makoura Lodge, and has 1 King bed and 2 Queen beds available for 6 people at $60 per person. Please contact Kay to book either on the website, or by email at akmilk@inspire.net.nz. Bookings must be made by 31 December 2019.
