As part of our ceremony, we will be including a few traditional Filipino rituals to represent our union and family bonds.
Here is a brief guide to the symbols and traditions you will see:
Our Veil, Cord, Coin, and Candle Sponsors are respected elders who will serve as lifelong guides and mentors for our marriage.
The Veil: signifies two people clothed as one, covering the couple to remind them of the love that covers both of them.
The Cord: symbolizes the infinite bond of love which brings the couple's hearts and souls together. This bond will keep the couple strong in the face of adversity.
The 13 coins: carried by the coin bearer, are a reminder that the couple will mutually support each other, their community, and the world around them.
The Candle: symbolizes the joining of our two families into one. Our sponsors will light two individual candles, and we will use their flames to light one central candle together, representing the start of our new life as a unified family.

The Ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early. Cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing to follow.
