FAQs

Question

Is it an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Grace and Simon have chosen a phoneless ceremony so everyone can be fully present—taking in the stunning mountain views and soaking in each moment as they exchange their vows. They kindly ask that all phones and cameras remain silent and tucked away during the ceremony. Thank you for being fully present with us—it means so much.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding weekend is an elegant Colorado mountain attire—think suits and long dresses, but no need for black tie and gowns. Part of the celebration will take place on grass, so stilettos might not be the best choice for a shoe! Evenings can get chilly, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to stay cozy.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

All Sunday wedding events will take place at Granby Ranch.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the lodge by 2:20 PM to allow time to gather, receive lift tickets, and make your way to the ceremony site.

Question

Do I have to take the ski lift?

Answer

One of the most unique parts of our day is reaching the ceremony via a scenic ski lift ride. If you plan to take the lift, please complete the required waiver from Granby Ranch in advance. If you prefer not to ride the lift, a shuttle will be available—just let us know when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at Granby Ranch. Guests will be guided to the ceremony via ski lift or shuttle.

Question

What's the Weather Like?

Answer

Colorado mountain weather can be wonderfully crisp and beautiful, but it can also change quickly—especially as the sun goes down. Expect warm, sunny days and cooler evenings. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket or sweater to stay comfortable after sunset.

Question

How Should I Plan for the Altitude?

Answer

Granby sits at a higher elevation. Stay hydrated, take it easy when you arrive, and pace yourself with alcohol. The mountain air can feel stronger than expected.

Question

I have a food allergy- can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, and our catering team will accommodate.

Question

Can I take photos during the reception?

Answer

Please do! Once the ceremony has concluded, feel free to take photos and share in the celebration all night!

Question

Will there be cell service?

Answer

Cell service can be limited in the mountains. We recommend downloading directions ahead of time and planning accordingly.

Question

Where should we send gifts?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift. If you’d like to send something, please refer to our registry for details and shipping options.

Question

Will Oakley be there?

Answer

While we love Oakley, he won’t be attending the wedding. He’ll be holding down the fort at home, sending his love and tail wags from afar!
