COVID & FAQ

We know there are many questions regarding COVID and of course typical questions regarding a wedding! We hope to answer as many as we can below but feel free to reach out to us personally if we haven't answered any!
Question

How many people will be attending?

Answer

It is quite difficult to estimate how many guests will be attending given COVID. Given we know some guests are already vaccinated, we are hopeful. Our venue is approved to host 200 (one fourth of its max capacity of 800 people) even during the lockdowns because it is a fully outdoor venue. We did not even invite 200 guests so we will be below their approved limit.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors! Our venue has beautiful outdoor accommodations that will let us celebrate safely outside! (There are rooms for the cocktail hour and for hanging out that will be made available if the pandemic conditions allow.)

Question

Are you requiring mask wearing? Will you provide masks?

Answer

At this time it is too difficult to tell whether or not masks will need to be worn during our entire wedding, part of the wedding, or not at all. We will keep all of our guests informed as we learn more. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask we encourage you to do so and to do whatever will make you feel most comfortable! We will have surgical masks available for anyone who requests one.

Question

Will you encourage social distancing?

Answer

Our venue is large enough that we will be able to accommodate everyone's level of comfort. We will be doing our best to seat you within your covid bubbles or with others you are comfortable with. During the ceremony we will also have assigned seating to keep contact limited between bubbles. If you are comfortable mingling and mixing with others you will also be free to do so.

Question

Where do I send my COVID-19 test results?

Answer

In the week before our wedding (5/17-5/23) please get tested for Covid-19 and isolate as much as is possible. Once you receive your results please send them to JonandBriWedding@gmail.com. If you test positive for Covid-19 please take care of yourself and celebrate with us on our live stream. If you test negative but are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms please stay home and join the celebration online. For the safety and peace of mind of all of our guests, only guests who have submitted their negative test result will be allowed to attend our wedding. *If you have received the vaccine for Covid-19 please also inform us by sending an email to JonandBriWedding@gmail.com *If you have not received your test results before the wedding date please email as well as we may have purchasable rapid tests available that you may take the day of

Question

Will there be sanitizing stations?

Answer

There will be so much hand sanitizer you wouldn't believe it! We will have hand sanitizer located in several places through the venue. Your hands will be squeaky clean and dry as heck, just as they have been for the entirety of the pandemic

Question

How will food and drinks be served?

Answer

We are working with the venue to create the safest food options available, and we will update as our wedding planning progresses.

Question

Will there be any high risk guests?

Answer

Yes, however if you or someone in your bubble is a high risk please let us know in advance. We will be able to seat you at a safe distance from other bubbles during both the ceremony and the reception. We welcome anyone to join our celebration on our live stream if they would prefer!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

If the some of the lockdown restrictions are lifted our venue offers valet parking onsite, free to all guests. If current restrictions remain in effect, a parking attendant will guide guests to the parking lot once they arrive. We encourage anyone who plans on consuming alcohol to arrange for a designated driver or to use a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft. You may leave your cars overnight in order to safely get home if necessary. Consume responsibly!

Question

What is the information about the live stream?

Answer

We will be updating the live stream information closer to the wedding! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Garden Formal! what does that mean? Great Question! It means that we are asking you to dress formally, but also to be comfortable! Wear flowy dresses, fun patterns, fun colors, jumpsuits, cocktail dresses, wear a jacket, don't wear a jacket, wear a tie, don't wear a tie, whatever works! Only thing to keep in mind is that there will be a large grass lawn and lawn games/dancing! (so you may want to rethink sharp heels for chunky ones instead, and wear something you can move in!) Feel free to google image garden formal for more ideas

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We the expect the weather to be beautiful, the average temperature for May in Southern California is 78*F.

Question

Are the ceremony and the reception at the same venue?

Answer

They are! Our reception will be about 200 feet from our ceremony.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm PST. Please Arrive between 3:30pm PST and 3:50pm PST, so you can find your seat.
