Just 15 miles from our wedding venue, you can find yourself at the intersection of Johnson Avenue & Higuera Street, symbolizing the union of our two families.
Originally constructed in early 1875, the swinging bridge is the only one in California.
Beyond the Swinging Bridge lies a gazebo and park that is home to a plaque inscribed with "The Four-Way Test," donated by Arroyo Grande's sister city, Hermosillo, Mexico. This is especially meaningful as the Higuera family originated not far from Hermosillo.
Arroyo Grande is home to a weekly Farmers Market on Saturday from 12pm to 2:30pm. There you can find a good variety of in-season vegetables, fruits, fish and flowers.
For the thrill-seekers, the Oceano Dunes offers ATV off-roading for rent or you can bring your own. This is the only California state park where vehicles are allowed on the sand dunes. Feel the rush of the ocean breeze as you explore the dunes in high speed.
There are many local wineries and breweries to be found across Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. We highly recommend checking one out for a tasting in your free time.
