FAQs

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We encourage all guests to RSVP online!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitations will specify how many people you are allowed to bring. Just remember that the number also includes yourself! Please do not bring any additional guests without explicit approval from the Bride/Groom. This event is strictly RSVP only!

Question

Can I bring my phone to the Ceremony (Chapel)?

Answer

Absolutely not. This will be an unplugged ceremony. Phones can enter the church in your bag/pocket however they must be turned to silent. Any deviation from this will result in your immediate removal from the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For those invited to the rehearsal dinner, please dress in cocktail attire. For the wedding, please dress in formal attire. We recommend floor length dresses for the ladies and suits with a jacket and tie for the gentlemen. Remember that the ceremony will be held in a chapel, so please dress accordingly (knees/shoulders covered). Thick straps are acceptable, but a shawl is encouraged. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Slightly chilly during the early mornings and late evenings

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be held indoors

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

All guests invited to the rehearsal dinner should have been notified. If you believe this to be a mistake please feel free to reach out!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! The number of guests (including children) should have been included in your invitations. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask the ladies to refrain from wearing white, ivory, champagne, cream or navy color attire.

Question

Wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Saint Johns Resort is wheelchair accessible. However, in order to enter the pews in the church there are a few stairs, and transportation from Saint John's to other locations may not be wheelchair accessible.

Question

Parking?

Answer

At the resort, there is plenty of parking. Please feel free to park by the "Main Entrance" closest to the ceremony or near the "Hotel Entrance" closest to the reception. We recommend all guests park near the "Main Entrance" as the ceremony and reception area are very close.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We encourage all guests to drink responsibly!

Question

Can I drop my gift off at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, this applies to any gifts and cards. We will have a dedicated area for gift drop-off, and we are so thankful for your kindness and generosity.

Question

I missed the RSVP deadline, what do I do?

Answer

If you are considering coming, please reach out to the bride (281-507-2311) or groom (240-477-0018) as soon as possible. The more time, the better!

Question

Where will I know where to go?

Answer

All staff members at the resort should be able to direct you to the chapel and ballroom. Furthermore, there will be large signage in front of both the chapel and the ballroom.
