The Wedding Website of Lauren Johnson and Barrett Burns

Shelby Andres

Flower Girl

Shelby is Barrett's cousin, and our ring bearer's older sister. This girl is so much more than just a cute face! Shelby is athletic, imaginative and a little firecracker (in the best way). We love to spend time with Shelby and her brother at their BB and GranDon's lake house. Shelby's Mom happens to be pretty talented at photography and actually captured our Engagement! We love the Andres are so excited to have Shelby in the wedding.

Crew Andres

Ring Bearer

Crew is also Barrett's cousin, and Shelby's younger brother. This boy is completely fearless, and is one of the most active kids we've ever met - soccer, exploring out West with his family, doing Crossfit with his Mom (yes, he's 7), and did we hear skateboarding is in the cards? We love this kid and always look forward to lake days with Crew and his sister, and we can't wait to watch him carry our rings down the aisle.

Maddie Lear

Flower Girl

Maddie is Lauren's cousin, who will be coming all the way from Massachusetts with her family to join us. Some fun family history for you - Lauren was actually the flower girl in Maddie's Mom's wedding, and Lauren's Mom was the flower girl in Maddie's Grandma's wedding. So we are going 3 generations strong! We are so so excited to see Maddie and her family and have her as a part of our wedding!

Katie Dawson

Greeter and Guest Book Photographer

Katie is Lauren's cousin and will be in charge of snapping your Polaroid guest book photo at the wedding! Although Katie lives in Virginia and we don't see each other as much as I wish we did, watching Katie grow up into the beautiful young woman that she is today has been so much fun. Growing up, Katie was my mini-me and probably the closest thing I ever had to a little sister. One of my favorite memories is when I would let Katie do my hair when she was little, which typically was just sitting patiently as she ripped half of the hair out of my scalp. As much fun as that hobby may have been, let's stick to horse back riding Katie, LOL! I'm SO glad Katie agreed to put her Polaroid photography skills to the test and be a part of the wedding!

Hannah Tanner

Matron of Honor

Hannah and I met on a college formal, my Freshman year and her Sophomore year, where she became my girl crush and I knew we had to be friends. The next year I decided to join a sorority, Hannah took me under her wing and became my Big. Over the past 6 years since then, Hannah and I became roommates, best friends, and now each other's Maid of Honors at both of our weddings. God put Hannah in my life right when I needed her the most, and she has stuck by my side and supported me in so many ways - including always being the one to kill the cockroaches in our apartment and not getting mad at me when I randomly brought a dog home one day. Hannah has always cheered me on in every milestone of life since we became friends, and I can't imagine saying "I do" without her by my side!

Tyler Burns

Best Man

My very first best friend. For the majority of my childhood, my dad was a stay at home dad so naturally we spent most of our time together. He always was the one who picked me up from preschool and either took me to the park, or watched The Lion King or ET with me. There was no in between and I am sure that got old really quick. But (from what I remember) he never complained and he always took an interest in everything I wanted to do. He is exactly the man I grew up wanting to be and has been my biggest fan every step of the way. I would not be who I am if it was not for him, and he will never know how much I cherish that. Making him my best man was a no brainer.

August Wolfe

Matron of Honor

August has been the most consistent best friend in my life since early high school. We've experienced so many of life's highs and lows together- from the rebellious teenage years, to college roommates, to full blown adults in society - and have grown with each other every step of the way. I can always count on August to be completely honest with me, put me in my place when I need it, and support me 100% in every way! Oh, and to use her nursing skills to properly diagnose me for poison ivy and allergic reactions when WebMD leads me to believe I am dying. I'm so lucky to have her in my life and standing right by my side on my wedding day!

Nick Rowell

Groomsman

Don’t let his love for cookies & cream ice cream fool you. Nick is one of the most athletic dudes you will ever see. Just ask any 6th grade football team we ever played. I think they still have nightmares from Nick “The Rock” Rowell playing fullback back in the day. That 6th grade football season is exactly where Nick and I met and have been boys ever since. Heck, we even work for the same company now all these years later. Nick is a great person and an even better friend, and I am happy to have him by my side.

Kathryn Braun

Bridesmaid

Kathryn was one of my first friends in college. We rushed together and she quickly became my go-to gal. Kathryn has been there for me in ways that only a best friend can say they've been there for someone, and for that I am so thankful. Kat is my fun-loving, down-to-earth, doughnut loving, gym queen friend, who might make us all feel like lards but is the type of person that everyone always loves to be around. I can always count on Kat to be down for any kind of adventure, and to always bring the tequila.

Jack Singer

Groomsman

Jack and my friendship really took off around my Junior year of high school when we were ballin out on our rec league basketball team, the TLP Tropics. I have never seen someone so many times not play any defense and only sit at the 3-point line. When Jack isn’t kicking my ass in Tennis or Golf, he and I love to sit around, have a drink, and complain about how much we hate our favorite Atlanta sports teams. It’s actually one of my favorite activities. Jack is that guy who would do anything for the people he cares about and I am lucky to call him one of my best friends. Don’t worry Jack, I am sure in a few years the Falcons will disappoint us again during another deep playoff run.

Alysha Moore

Bridesmaid

Lysh and I so alike in so many ways, and we also have this weird habit of always going through life's milestones at the same time, within months of each other, and always bonding over it. We both bought our first home at the same time, adopted a dog at the same time, got engaged at almost the same time, and then bought our second home... you guessed it, at the same time! It's been a treat always being able to experience these things with a best friend. Alysha is one of those people who is just a naturally hilarious person without even trying, and is just a great person to be around. I so appreciate her friendship, and her appreciation for always getting at least 8 hours.

Dalton Porche

Groomsman

This man right here is one of the smartest, most genuine guys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have been through so much with Dalton and witnessed him become one of the best men I know. There isn’t a single person out there that doesn’t enjoy Dalton’s company. Outside of taking board games too seriously, there is not one complaint I can think of when it comes to Dalton. But hey, if he wasn’t the most competitive person out there, he wouldn’t be the Dalton I know! He is a brother of mine for life, and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things he is going to accomplish in his life.

Emily Pankey

Bridesmaid

Em and I didn't get really close until after college, but now I can't imagine my life without her. Emily's positive spirit is contagious and she is such a bright light in my life! Emily keeps me young and hip with her knowledge of all of the latest news and fads, even when I disappoint her by not ever being in the loop. I can always count on Em to be down for a marg night and to gossip with me about the Bachelor (when Covid hasn't delayed it for 12 years). I especially love her appreciation for unnecessarily shortening words that contain more than a single syllable. When she's not catching up on her Bravo shows you can probably find her cooking me a Hello Fresh meal ;)

Jordan Regnery

Groomsman

The man made of glass. Jordan Regnery has injured himself more than I can keep count. However, he was another one of the 6th grade legends on our junior eagles football team. Regs is one of those people who would drop everything he is doing to be there for one of his friends and I am lucky to be one of his. He may have moved up north but I know he and I will always stay close regardless. I appreciate his friendship but most importantly, I appreciate his respect for the best basketball player ever, LeBron James. I cant wait for Jordan to be by my side.

Carlye Lapham

Bridesmaid

Carlye and I have shared countless memories together since college, and I'm so glad that she has become one of my best friends over the past few years. Carls is my go-to to talk about what just happened on the latest episode of the Netflix show we're watching, or to take 3 sips with me when we both realize we've barely taken a sip of the drinks we've been holding for the last hour. I don't think I've ever seen Carlye in a bad mood, and she's always just a great person to be around. I can't wait to see what Carlye will accomplish in her life, and especially can't wait to have her by my side on wedding day!

Jordan Musser

Groomsman

There is not enough room in this description to describe what all Musser and I have been through. Jordan and I met in 8th grade homeroom and I think the teacher knew from day 1 that it was going to be trouble. If you know Musser you know he has a big personality and he is one of the most caring people you could ever meet. The guy seems to have about 500 friends and he somehow keeps up with and knows everything going on in everyone’s lives. I am blessed to call him a best friend and proud to call him a groomsman. We just need to work on his sports knowledge that’s all.

Christina Echols

Bridesmaid

Otherwise known as Teenz, Christina is a friend who has been around since my early college days when she was my unofficial Grandbig. She is always down for a good time, and always seems to be bringing everyone together. I even visited her in London when she went through her quarter life crisis (we've all been there) and decided to up and move there for a few months. Teenz is an amazing friend and I could not imagine my life without her in it!

Taylor Johnson

Groomsman

I am so lucky that my future brother-in-law can make up for what Lauren lacks in her sports knowledge. Taylor is currently serving our country in the Air Force. One thing about Taylor is he always has a smile on his face when I see him and I always enjoy his company whenever I get the chance to see him. Although we haven’t had the chance to get super close yet, I have no doubt that he will be the best brother that I never had growing up and I'm glad to have him up there with me on our big day!

For all the days along the way
