Question

What if I can’t travel to Mexico?

Answer

We completely understand! We’ll also be hosting a celebration in Massachusetts later in 2026 (likely August), and we truly hope to celebrate with you in whichever way works best.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please plan to fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN). Moon Palace Cancún is located about 10 minutes from the airport.

Question

Is there a recommended hotel?

Answer

Yes; we have secured a room block at the Moon Palace Cancun, an all-inclusive resort where our wedding will take place.

Question

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Yes! Moon Palace Cancún is an all-inclusive resort, so all meals, snacks, and drinks are included during your stay. A few premium items or specialty experiences may have additional upcharges, but there’s plenty included to enjoy without any extras.

Question

How do I book in the wedding room block?

Answer

Easy! Click here: https://globalsalesweddings.palaceresorts.com/link/guest?key=eyJpZCI6IjJhNjVhNTk0LTU0MTItNDJiYi04YmEwLTQ3NzA4ZGRkNWQ1ZSIsInRhZyI6IkxJTktJRCJ9 Note- do not book through the general Moon Palace Cancun website - you will not receive the room block rate or the additional discounts and credits available to our wedding guests, including a $500 resort credit per room (min. 4 night stay required), spa and golf discounts, and more!

Question

What does the listed room rate include?

Answer

First - make sure you're booking directly through our wedding room block! (https://globalsalesweddings.palaceresorts.com/link/guest?key=eyJpZCI6IjJhNjVhNTk0LTU0MTItNDJiYi04YmEwLTQ3NzA4ZGRkNWQ1ZSIsInRhZyI6IkxJTktJRCJ9) The listed room rate is based on double occupancy (so covers 2 guests) and includes accommodations, all food and drinks, and access to the resort’s amenities, plus a $500USD resort credit (4-night minimum). Additional guests or room upgrades may affect pricing. Children under 18 are free (more info here: https://www.moonpalace.com/offers/kids-teens-free?_gl=1*hha6p4*_gcl_au*MTgxNzcwMjA5NC4xNzYzNzcwNTE3); please see note about kiddos and wedding events!

Question

Can I choose a different room type than the standard room?

Answer

Yes. The rate shown is for a standard room, but you’re welcome to select any room category, and all room types receive a discounted group rate.

Question

When do I have to pay for my room?

Answer

A credit card is required to secure your reservation, but payment is not due until 30 days prior to check-in.

Question

Are payment plans available?

Answer

Yes. Guests may make partial payments at their convenience, with a minimum payment of $50 USD per installment.

Question

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Answer

Yes. Reservations may be modified or canceled without penalty, as long as changes are made within the resort’s terms.

Question

Does the resort offer airport transportation?

Answer

Yes - with some caveats. Airport shuttle transportation is available through the resort and can be scheduled in advance when booking your stay when you book a minimum of 4 nights. Each guest will be responsible for booking their transportation service a minimum of two weeks in advance of their arrival date by emailing transfercancun@thepalacecompany.com

Question

What activities are available at Moon Palace Cancún?

Answer

There’s so much to do! The resort offers multiple pools, beach access, a spa, golf course, fitness center, nightly entertainment, water sports, kids’ clubs, and more. Many activities and experiences also offer special discounts for our wedding guests, so you’ll have plenty of options whether you want to relax or stay active.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who’s been invited! Plus ones are included only if specifically noted on your invitation for the wedding ceremony and reception. That said, since rooms are based on double occupancy, you’re more than welcome to bring a friend or coordinate sharing a room with another guest — even if they’re not attending the wedding events.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We absolutely love your little ones! For our wedding events in Mexico, kids over 10 are invited to our ceremony and for the first hour (dinner) of our reception; after that, we’re keeping things adults-only. That said, Moon Palace Cancún is a very family-friendly resort, and you’re more than welcome to bring your family to enjoy the resort during your stay. We also want to share that children will be invited to our celebration in Massachusetts and later in 2026. If celebrating with us stateside feels like a better option for you and your family, we completely understand and can’t wait to celebrate with you and your kiddos then.

Question

What will the weather be like in July?

Answer

July in Cancún is typically warm, sunny, and tropical, with daytime temperatures around the mid-to-high 80s°F. There may be occasional brief showers, but they usually pass quickly. We recommend light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, and staying hydrated.

Question

What’s the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We want everyone to feel comfortable while still feeling dressed up. Think elevated beach casual—light fabrics, summery dresses, linen or lightweight suits (no jackets or ties necessary!). Because it will be warm, comfort is key, but we respectfully ask that guests avoid denim for the ceremony and reception.

Question

I want to come, but I want to stay somewhere else - is that possible?

Answer

Short answer: yes, you can! Longer answer: there are a few things to know before you go rogue with your hotel plans. Our wedding venue allows a limited number of “day pass” guests — only up to 20% of our total attendees. Day passes are currently listed at about $165 per person per day (we’re working on negotiating that down!), and we won’t know exactly how many will be available until about 30 days before the wedding. Passes will be first‑come, first‑served, and once they’re gone… they’re gone. So while you can stay elsewhere, there’s a chance you could book your trip to Mexico and then not be able to attend the wedding events if all passes have already been claimed. If you do choose another resort, we highly recommend booking something refundable, just in case, and keeping us posted so we can try and keep track of who is hoping for a day pass. A quick note on rooms: the resort is priced for double occupancy, which means sharing a room with a friend or another solo guest is often the most cost‑friendly option — and honestly, way more fun. If you’re traveling solo, we definitely encourage buddying up before looking at off‑site options. And truly — we get it. Travel logistics can be tricky, and we never want this to be stressful. If staying on‑site/ traveling to Mexico isn’t financially feasible, we’ll also be celebrating with loved ones in Massachusetts later this year, and we’d be just as thrilled to toast with you there.

Question

I'm traveling solo - anyone interested in bunking up?

Answer

Because all of the rooms in our room block are based on double occupancy, the rooms can be expensive for our solo travelers. Please contact us if you're traveling solo and want to share a room - we can help to coordinate with other solo travelers who may want to crash together (yes, there are rooms with 2 beds) to help save on costs. While we can't guarantee anything, we can certainly help facilitate conversations!
