When I first met Johnny at Rush, a nightclub in Ann Arbor, I thought he had a nice smile and seemed like a sweet guy. We started talking because he always made jokes and was quite funny with his Facebook stickers. All my friends loved Johnny but it took me a while to realize that Johnny was always there for me, especially when I needed help catching uninvited spiders in my apartment. He always made me laugh and was willing to eat all my unsuccessful cookies and brownies. It became clear to me that Johnny was the special one because, with him, it wasn't the crazy roller coaster that I was used to and every moment with him made me feel so okay and pretty lucky. I hope he continues to finish all my cooking and I am excited to celebrate our beginning with him and all of our guests on our wedding day.

I met Ploy at a club in Ann Arbor, or a "friend's birthday party" according to some people. I thought she had a really cute face and looked very cheerful. I didn't know how to approach her at first but eventually, my friends literally pushed me to talk to her. I'm really glad they did because we ended up talking until the club closed. I'm lucky to have found someone who can constantly put up with all my stupid jokes and ridiculousness. Ploy has always been super caring for me, and I always try to treat her the way she always treats me. I'm certain she will be an excellent wife in the future.

We had talked about getting married for a while. We planned a trip to Thailand to meet Ploy's family and pick up the engagement ring from Ploy's grandma. Two weeks after returning to Ann Arbor, Johnny took Ploy for a walk in the park and Ploy thought that they were there to scout for their upcoming engagement photo session locations. Little did she know, Johnny had a much better surprise in mind. It was snowing so beautifully and Johnny got down on one knee and surprised Ploy. It was one of the best days and that park in winter will always hold a special place in our hearts.
