Question

What should I bring?

Answer

First and foremost a smile. Please also bring a towel for swimming and / or showering. Most everything else will be provided for you. October is a bit of a funny month, it might be warm during the day and be cool at night, so we suggest that you remember to bring some extra layers. There are two heated swimming pools and two lakes (one with a 150ft slide into it!), so we recommend bringing your swimmies. Sheets and blankets are provided if you’ll be staying the night. Don’t forget your fishing pole!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Most of the weekend will be casual, filled with fun and games, so we recommend that you bring clothes to be active in. Don’t forget to bring extra layers in case it gets chilly at night. On Saturday, after we’ve played at the camp for most of the day, there will be a shower hour so we can all get gussied up for the main event, the wedding ceremony! We recommend semi-formal attire.

Question

Isn’t COVID19 still a concern?

Answer

We know. We have thought a lot about this and have concerns too. But we also think COVID19 is going to stick around for a while yet, so we are moving forward with our plans. We know our guests well and know that they will all be respectful of other people’s comfort levels and will make good decisions on how to act to keep everyone safe while still having fun. Nearly all of the activities planned will be outside. Rehearsal dinner will be lake side. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the dinning hall, but guests will be asked to sit every other table and there will be additional tables outside for those who prefer outdoor dining. All camp related activities are outside. The ceremony is outside, and the reception will be in the pavilion. All camp staff are fully vaccinated and will wear masks. Guests will need to wear masks in indoor spaces (the dining hall), when not eating.

Question

What are the cabins like?

Answer

There are 20 private cabins that can accommodate 2 guests. Each has a queen or double sized bed and its own bathroom with shower. We will fill these up first, giving priority to our guests that are more mature in age and families with small children. There are also group cabins that can hold up to 20 guests. We think every group will be able to have their own cabin, but in case we need to pair some groups together, in light of COVID19, we will be mindful of only putting groups together that are comfortable with each other (please make a note of who you are comfy sharing space with when you RSVP). In addition, we will be providing dividers to essentially make the cabins into two private cabins, however the bathroom space will still be shared. All cabins are air conditioned. The cost for lodgings is $59 per person per night.
