The Wedding Website of Svetlana Dudin and John Ebers
TRAVEL INFORMATION We want you to feel welcome in Colorado, so here is some information to make your planning a bit easier. First and foremost, especially if you are coming out of town: it is good to note that the elevation for our wedding location is 8,300 ft. To alleviate any potential problems that might arise because of this, below are the following actions that you can do in preparation before and on the day of our wedding: - drink at least 8 cups of water a 3-4 days before - continue drinking enough water the day of the event - bring a water bottle (we will have water there too) - apply sunscreen and reapply as needed - bring sunglasses and/or a light colored hat

Travel Note

How do I get there?

If you live in the Front Range of Colorado it is pretty simple to head south on Highway 285 to the Foxton Road Exit just past the Town of Conifer. Then follow the road south to Newton Park Stromberg Picnic Area on your left. If you live in Nebraska, you can drive I-80 to I-76 into Denver by car. You can also fly from the Omaha Airport or take the Amtrak train from Lincoln (or Omaha)to Denver. If you live outside of Colorado or Nebraska your best option will be to fly into Denver from your nearest airport.

Travel Note

Where do I stay?

There are many hotel and airbnb options around Golden, Lakewood, and Morrison areas. Conifer also has beautiful and quaint options, as well if you would like to stay in the mountains, but will likely be pricier.

Travel Note

What should I wear?

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Be prepared for warmer weather during the day with a jacket for the night. Consider bringing sunglasses, hat with a brim, and flat soled shoes since the ceremony will be on nature's floor. We want everyone to look festive, however if that prevents someone of a good time, we would rather have them feel comfortable.

Travel Note

What will the weather be like?

In August, the weather will be on the warm side down in Denver. However, in Conifer the weather is slighly cooler especially at night. In case of inclement weather, ceremony will be held under the park pavilion awning. Once again, Conifer is at an elevation of ~8,000 ft. Be sure to hydrate appropriately and get lots of sleep to prevent dehydration, headache and nausea -- especially if you are coming from lower elevation.
