Up Lookout Mountain Road - This is a scenic drive just up the mountain of Golden, CO. Clear Creek Canyon - This is the valley going into the hills from town - if you prefer stopping near a river and hiking minimally
A couple options: 1. South table (starting on the west side) Steep difficult hike that finishes at a stunning view point. Excellent in the morning/evening or cooler weather. 2. Windy Saddle Park on Lookout Mountain - get great views of the city and nature on the other side - a bit more shady if it is hot out! Lookout Mountain Rd, Golden, CO 80401 3. Lair o' the Bear near Idledale, CO - ~25 min from Golden, but further into the hills with more shade, prettier views and cooler temps. Bring your swimsuit to jump into the river after!
Delicious pizza buffet. Bring an empty stomach. Side note John's record here is 22 slices of pizza. Attempt to beat it if you dare.
This is a lovely free BLM Camping area that is a bit of a hidden gem. The link should get you to the right spot and all along the road are camping sites with views of Sheep Rock
If you want to step into our lives a little bit. We both spend lots of time at this gym climbing and working out. We highly recommend spending some time here because climbing is so darn fun.
