The plumbing and the plumbing gods will thank you. Coffee and juices may come sweetened automatically Brazil loves sugar. If you don’t, ask for “sem açúcar” (without sugar). Try the fruit and juices Seriously. Mango, maracujá, açaí, guava… this is your vitamin era. Caipirinhas are stronger than they taste “Just one more” has ended many vacations.

Mosquitoes & Nature 🦟🌿

Question

Money & Paying 💳

Answer

Cards/contactless are widely accepted But carrying a little cash is still useful for beach vendors, small bars, or random coconut emergencies. Double-check the amount on the card machine before paying Always worth a quick look before tapping. Tell your bank you’re travelling So your card doesn’t suddenly decide Rio looks suspicious.

Question

Safety Stuff 🚕📱

Answer

Avoid wearing flashy jewellery or using your phone openly in the street Especially while walking near roads or in crowded areas. Don’t leave your phone/wallet on restaurant tables Keep valuables close — even during deep conversations or peak pão de queijo moments. Avoid walking on empty streets late at night Uber is cheap and worth it. Use Uber or official taxis when possible Usually easier, safer, and less stressful. Keep a photo/copy of your passport somewhere safe Ideally not only on the same phone you might lose at the beach.

Question

Beach Rules 🏖️
