What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM, so we ask that you arrive no later than 4:15 PM to make sure you are seated in time.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. Suit and tie for men and cocktail wear for women. Please note that the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass so be careful with shoe choices!

Are kids welcome?

We love your kids but thought you might like a night off. Adults only please!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking on site. There is about a five minute walk between the ceremony and reception. If you are in need of assistance for this distance a driver can assist you.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, there is a 35 person shuttle that will be leaving the hotel at 3:30 PM to go to the venue and will depart the venue at 11:15 PM to return to the hotel.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be indoors. There will be grass so please be careful with shoe choices!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes. We ask that you please include your allergy information with your RSVP so that we may properly keep track.

What type of food will be provided?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by buffet dinner and cake.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes. Feel free to enjoy a mix of non-alcoholic and alcoholic concoctions with us.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are asking for an unplugged ceremony to make sure that the photographers are able to capture the best photos possible!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

If you know the D.C. area at all, you know that this is unfortunately a difficult question to answer. Averages for end of April in the area tend to have highs of 60-70 and lows of 40-50. Light layers are encouraged for maximum comfort.
