Cocktail Hour

There will be a charcuterie selection along with a bartender available for wine, beer, cocktails. The food will be complementary, drinks will be cash or card. We wanted to make sure the guests are not hungry or thirsty prior to the ceremony. We hope you can catch up with an old friend, see some family from out of town, or meet the other special guests. You will head to the ceremony direct from the cocktail hour so please dress according to ceremony details below.
Shuttle to Ceremony Site
3:15 pm - 4:00 pm

The wedding ceremony is being held at the Young farm. We will shuttle you from the reception venue to the ceremony site and back to reception venue. Our goal here is to avoid parking issues, keep everyone clean, and give you a sober ride to and from the ceremony. Please utilize the shuttle and help us avoid congestion at the ceremony. The reception venue is also close to several hotels in town and thus you will likely not need to drive at all Saturday evening.
Ceremony at Young Farm
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Please come dressed formally. Colors encouraged are pinks, peaches, yellow, browns, blues, & black. Please avoid all shades of green including teal. The ceremony will take place in an outdoor grassy area so please consider this when choosing footwear.
The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm, so please arrive by 4 pm to get familiar with the site and find your seats. For those of you who are riding the bus from town, you will be dropped directly at the ceremony site with only short walk to the seating area. We respectfully request that only local Astoria guests drive to the event to keep the number of parked cars to a minimum. There will be a ADA toilet, hand washing station, and drinking water available at the ceremony site, it is otherwise off grid. Finding the farm can be a challenge for a first time visitor, but it is just past the mile marker 8 sign on Highway 202 when heading East from Astoria. If you see "Rod Lane" street sign, you are just past it. Please be on the lookout for a sign indicating Sarah and John’s wedding.
Reception at The Loft
6:00 pm - 10:30 pm
20 Basin Street, Astoria, OR 97103
The reception is located upstairs at The Loft at the Red Building on the Astoria waterfront. There is an elevator and ADA bathroom available. The reception will include a full dinner, along with appetizers, dessert, dancing, live music, lots of laughs, and plenty of pictures. There will be drink tickets given to each guest at the beginning of the event for complementary cocktails. After those are used, there will be a full cash/card bar available. There is ample parking at the venue and it is within a few minutes walk to several hotels. Please come ready to dance.

BBQ Picnic at the Young farm

Casual attire. No shirt or shoes required!
We love to host friends and family at cabin on the Young farm. There is river access for swimming and boating activities, plenty of cooking capacity, nature walks, gator and jeep rides, and a warm fire. We will be doing a very simple menu for this event with burgers, hotdogs, chicken, and standard side dishes. If you are local we would love to see some potluck offerings. If you are traveling from out of town please bring some beverages with you of your choosing. We look forward to relaxing with you if you are still in the area the day after the wedding.
