San Diego Zoo
This was a go-to spot for Rachel and I the first year she was here in San Diego.
Stone Brewing World Bistro And Gardens - Escondido
Escondido's claim to fame. Stone Brewery changed the craft brewery game. They have great beer and nice atmosphere.
Torrey Pines State Reserve
A favorite hike of Rachel's and John's. It's a nice scenic hike along the cliffs over looking the ocean. Not too hard or strenuous.
The Taco Stand
Rachel's favorite Mexican spot in town. She'd recommend the Bean & Cheese burrito. I say you can't go wrong with any of the tacos or a California Burrito.
La Jolla Cove
Go watch the seals and other marine life down at La Jolla Shores. Fun site seeing.
Ballast Point Brewing Miramar
Ballast Point is another great San Diego Brewery. Their Grapefruit Sculpin (IPA) is a top notch selection.
Pizza Port
This is a staple of downtown Carlsbad. They make great pizza and brew some excellent beers.
Mother Earth Tap House
Mother Earth is a stones throw away (if you have a really good arm) from the venue on the main street of downtown Vista. I recommend the Cali Creamin' beer.
Handel's Homemade Ice Cream
Homemade delicious, creamy ice cream with great flavor options. There is never a time that Rachel and I aren't craving Handel's Ice Cream. Go try it and see why.
Oceanside Pier
You can't go wrong with any of the San Diego beaches in June. Oceanside is a go-to for visitors. Enjoy the sand, sun, and ocean, and even take a walk down the pier.
