We're Getting Married!

John and Paria’s story began in March, 2023, when their two best friends introduced them to one another. With a shared love of whit, travel, good food and childhood Saturday morning cartoons, they hit it off right away. Having clicked together so well, they shared their first date the following weekend, having met for dinner at Grimaldi’s on Waterway Square. John and Paria ended up talking for hours walking around the beautifully lit waterway, laughing together as if they had known each other forever. After a few weeks of many dates like the first, and countless hours spent talking to each other the phone day and night, John asked Paria to be his girlfriend over a scenic picnic during sunset at Eleanor Tinsley Park. They would then go on to spend the next eighteen months inseparably, traveling the world together. With a shared passion for travel, John planned to pop the question to Paria on their trip to Japan. Knowing how much Paria loves the fall season and the beautiful colors the trees bring, he connected with a local to help him plan the perfect proposal in the Kyoto. On their first day of the trip, John somehow managed to convince Paria that they were just getting dressed up to visit a temple garden on the outskirts of Kyoto. The early morning rain had made the quiet garden sparkle in a deep green with beautiful, warm accenting fall colors. On a cozy stone bridge, John got down on one knee and asked Paria to marry him. Needless to say, she said yes. We are so grateful to be surrounded by their friends and family on our special day and cannot wait to see you in Houston in November!
