Bend is a high desert climate, which means the temps and weather can vary greatly from day to day and from hour to hour. Please bring lots of layers and options to easily transition from warmer summer weather to chilly fall nights. The average highs for September are around 74 degrees and the lows are around 40 degrees, with precipitation at its lowest for that month. However, come prepared for anything.
Elk Lake resort is set up with several fire pits and a large bonfire area in front of the cabins. Whether or not we can have a fire will depend upon fire season restrictions. Regardless, we will find a way to light the night and stay warm.
