Flight

Los Angeles International Airport ("LAX")

The closest airport to fly into is Los Angeles International Airport. This destination will get you within driving distance of the wedding venue as well as near enough to the hotel(s) we've blocked and recommend most. This is also the best option if you'd like to stay near or spend more time around the coast/beach.

Flight

Hollywood Burbank Airport ("Bob Hope Airport")

The airport is not as direct as LAX and has fewer direct flights, as it is a much smaller airport, but the experience of arriving and departing from this cozy airport is definitely less intimidating for those who don't mind an extra flight transfer. (As we live in Burbank, this is definitely our top choice for travel when available.)

Palm Garden Hotel Thousand Oaks

This is the hotel we will be staying at. It is about 10 minutes from our wedding venue. We blocked out 40 rooms here at $169.00/night for Standard Rooms and $199.00/night for Courtyard Rooms. The Welcome and Farewell Events will both be hosted at this hotel. Please book up to one month before the wedding date, as the rooms will no longer be held after that point. You must *call* to book by asking for the "Murrow-Kensinger" wedding block. We will provide shuttles between the Palm Garden Hotel and the wedding venue.

Motel 6 Thousand Oaks, CA

This hotel is also in the immediate vicinity of the Palm Garden Hotel (2-minute drive), which will be hosting the Welcome Event and Farewell Event. It's also a cheaper option with positive reviews. Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas

This hotel is a third, farther option (25-minute drive to the venue) but is closer to LA proper. We have 10 rooms blocked out for guests, with pre-tax rates at $209.00/night. Please book up to one month before the wedding date, as the rooms will no longer be held after that point. Call to book by asking for the "Murrow-Kensinger" wedding block, or book via "VIEW" BELOW.

Travel Note

Taxi, Uber, and Rental Cars

The venue is about a 45 minutes to 1 hour from either airport. We recommend you share a ride if you can. An Uber ride can range between $50–$100 depending on time of day. If you want more flexibility and are planning on visiting other areas, it might make sense to rent a car. If you fly into LAX, there is a specific area to catch Taxis and Ubers called "LAX-it." It is located a short walk or shuttle ride away from the terminals in a large parking lot. We recommend getting familiar with it through the link below.

Airbnb & Other Options

If you chose to stay elsewhere, we recommend looking at Airbnb or VRBO in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, or Calabasas in order to be closer to the venue. You're welcome to meet at one of the blocked hotels in order to catch a shuttle to the venue.
