What Happened in Vegas Didn't Stay In Vegas...

The saying goes that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"...but that wasn't the case for us! Almost everyone knows the story, but Johnny and I had the unlikely destiny of meeting at a bar (the former Ghost Bar) in Las Vegas by chance. I was on an annual girls trip with my high school girlfriends and he was on a trip with one of his brothers and some fire fighters for the IAFF convention. We started chatting at the outside bar and after a few beverages and a lot of laughs, ended up hanging out with the guys for the rest of the night. We parted ways at the end of the evening (really, early morning) and all departed for our home destinations with memories of a fun Vegas night! The short version of the long story is that we started to keep in touch after I sent Johnny a thank you note via email. Many months of texts and emails followed as did another trip to Las Vegas, this time with the intention of seeing each other with mutual friends. For me it was a bachelorette party for a very dear girlfriend and for him, it was to attend a boxing match with some buddies. We decided to meet after the fight...his friends and my friends...to reconnect, have a few drinks and catch up. The meet up went AMAZINGLY well and we all ended up closing down a bar or two and made a ton of memories between both groups. About 3 weeks after that trip Johnny reached out to me to see if I would like to go on a "date" with him. I was a little bit surprised as I considered myself "geographically undesirable" being that I lived in Portland, OR and he lived in Boston, MA. In spite of how crazy it sounded I said yes... Our first official 1:1 date was Memorial Day weekend of 2009 and we have been together ever since!

Sharing our Happy Place with You...

We have covered a lot of distance and places during all of our years of dating including trips to Las Vegas, Key West, Hawaii, Aruba, the Bahamas, New York, Cape Cod, Chicago, San Francisco, Nashville, New Orleans, Italy, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and most fondly, Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe has become part of the fabric of our lives and our love story. This place is special to us... We come here every chance we get... We ski here... We boat here... We hike here... We play here... We decompress here... We spend time with family and friends here... And now we are excited to share this special, magical and amazing place with all of you! We hope that each of you finds this place as special, magical and amazing as we do and we look forward to making memories with everyone who can join us!

IMPORTANT GUEST INFORMATION

***please read***

Due to space limitations at both the wedding and reception venues we have made the difficult choice to not have any children under the age of 15 at our wedding and reception. This is NOT in any way to discourage those of you with younger children from bringing your family and taking advantage of all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer but rather to help you plan your time and childcare needs while in this beautiful place. Thank you so much for understanding!
