We met our junior year of high school, thanks to a few mutual friends and a shared lunch table. Before long, it was our favorite part of the day, There was easy and often hilarious conversation and we discovered how easily we clicked. We became close friends—just friends at first. We started tutoring each other—John helped me with math, I helped him with English—which, looking back, was probably more about spending time together than actually studying. Somewhere in between solving equations and editing essays, we really got to know each other. Then came the twist of fate that changed everything. That summer, my grandparents took my sister, cousin, and me on a trip to Paris. As it turned out, John's family happened to be visiting the same city—staying just two blocks away from where we were. We met up halfway across the world, completely by chance, and it felt like the universe was nudging us toward something more. It’s been nine years since then, and we’re still together. We’ve grown up side by side, traveling, trying new things, and building a life full of little adventures. No matter where we go or what we do, the best part has always been doing it together. Now, we couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife—and even more excited to celebrate it with all the people we love most.
