Hillhurst and neighbouring Sunnyside make up a charming area centered on the Kensington Village shopping area, with bookshops, boutiques quirky gift and homeware stores, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Laura grew up in this neighborhood, and the couple will be staying in this area. There is a C-train station in this neighborhood, and lots to walk to.

Quirky Inglewood is home to shops selling vintage furniture, indie fashion and rare vinyl, and offers an eclectic dining with vegan options. For other beer lovers, one of our favorite beer bars, Cold Garden, is in Inglewood.

For those who like to party, the hip Beltline area is bounded by 17th Avenue SW, with cool boutiques selling fashion, shops and bars. Dining spans trendy taco joints, locavore eateries and Korean restaurants, while nightlife encompasses craft beer pubs, live music venues and dance clubs. There is lots of stuff to walk to in this area.
