Hotel

Hotel

Courtyard Calgary Downtown

525 5 Avenue Southwest, Calgary, AB T2P 1P7, Canada
 (403) 300-6650

This is a well-regarded, reliable, but older, hotel that is close to public transit. It shares a building with a higher-end hotel and is well-maintained, as a result.

Hotel

Fairmont Palliser

133 9 Avenue Southwest, Calgary, AB T2P 2M3, Canada

An iconic downtown hotel, with a nice little bar. Due to it’s historic age the rooms are smaller, similar to the Royal York in Toronto.

Neighbourhood recommendation for Airbnb Hillhurst/ Sunnyside

Hillhurst and neighbouring Sunnyside make up a charming area centered on the Kensington Village shopping area, with bookshops, boutiques quirky gift and homeware stores, and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Laura grew up in this neighborhood, and the couple will be staying in this area. There is a C-train station in this neighborhood, and lots to walk to.

Inglewood

Quirky Inglewood is home to shops selling vintage furniture, indie fashion and rare vinyl, and offers an eclectic dining with vegan options. For other beer lovers, one of our favorite beer bars, Cold Garden, is in Inglewood.

A mix of riverside condominiums, shopping, restaurants, hotels, a large public plaza and urban parkland make Eau Claire one of Calgary's most popular areas. This area is has many transit options, and is a beautiful area to walk around.
