Things To Do

We are so excited to share St. Louis with our family and friends traveling in for our wedding! Here are a few great things to do in the area.

Maplewood

Maplewood, MO

How could we not mention Maplewood? It is home to the reason why John is in St. Louis- Side Project! Visit the Brewery or the Cellar, you are bound to have a great time! Maplewood is also a fun place to hang out and have a bite to eat. There are many shops and restaurants along Manchester. Jill recommends Blue Duck or The Post for a tasty, laid back meal!

Forest Park

5595 Grand Drive in Forest Park St. Louis, MO 63112,

The best thing about Forest Park is that many of the attractions are FREE! The Missouri History Museum, The St. Louis Art Museum, The St. Louis Zoo are all free and open to the public (with COVID protocols in place). Some require a free reservation, but still free to enter! After a visit to the park grab a bite at one of the many restaurants on The Delmar Loop or in Dogtown after. John recommends Heavy Riff for the beer enthusiast, Hi-Pointe Drive-In for a burger and shake, Corner 17 for some amazing hand pulled noodles and The Baked Bear for the best ice cream sandwiches.

Macklind Avenue Business District

Macklind Avenue, St. Louis, MO

Macklind Ave is a South City gem! There are many cute shops and restaurants along Macklind Ave. If you are staying in the Southamption or Princeton Heights neighborhoods, you could easily walk to many of these locations. Our best recommendation is Russell's on Macklind. Make a reservation for brunch- you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to try the cinnamon roll :)

City Museum

750 North 16th Street, St. Louis, MO 63103
, (314) 231-2489

Part monument to early 20th century manufacturing might part recycled art project. It's hard to describe, but fun for both adults and kids. Bonus- there's a bar inside for those 21+ crew. There are many restaurants right along nearby Washington Ave. If you're looking for a sweet treat, head over to Blondies!

St. Louis Union Station

1820 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103

There are so many fun things to do at Union Station! The Wheel, The Aquarium, Miniature Golf Course! We could go on and on! Make sure to make a reservation at the Union Station Soda Fountain, you'll want to try one of their amazing shakes!

Missouri Botanical Garden

4344 Shaw Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63110
, (314) 577-5100

The Garden is absolutely beautiful, especially in the summer! The Garden is open with additional health and safety protocols in place. They encourage patrons to purchase tickets in advance. There are some great places to eat just around the corner. Check out O'Connell's pub for a delicious burger and fries.

For all the days along the way
