It was 2nd grade when a bubbly girl (who had just cut her own hair to boys length) enthusiastically volunteered to be the new girl's tour guide, that new girl was Jaime and the bubbly girl was Megan. Little did they know, that would be the first day of the rest of their lives spent laughing, crying, making the punniest of jokes and indulging in the occasional brunch cocktail. From becoming competitive ice skaters together at age 8 to taking secret trips to Nashville to meet Maroon 5 at 20 to Jaime standing by Megan side at her wedding in 2014, Megan has been Jaime's rock since the beginning, and she couldn't imagine anyone else standing by her side on this special day.

Friends from nearly out of the womb, pre-school friends turned to lifetime. Anthony (and his dad) can pretty much be blamed for John's lifelong love affair with skiing. He's also at least partially to blame for John's roller coaster affair with the Washington Redskins. From Burlington to Brooklyn, to Breckenridge to Bend, Anthony and John have remained close whether its catching up on skiing, the Redskins, the NJ Devils or women. Over a three decades long friendship they have traveled to Hunter Mountain for hundreds of ski trips, winter breaks in Vermont, lived aboard a yacht in the Caribbean, Lake Tahoe for spring break skiing and partying, summers in the Hamptons, to Anthony's fatherland of Greece and now Mexico! John is also one of Anthony's best men at his wedding in September.

Alicia... The middle sister. Witty. Gorgeous. Destined to be a star from the age of 5 on Saturday Night Live as she sang, danced and joked her way through their crazy childhood. Alicia and Jaime have had the typical sister story... All love, then all fights, big sister saves little sister, little sister saves big sister and finally the kind of friends really only one other person can understand (baby sister Lauren). Now Alicia is busy burning the glass ceiling to the ground but that doesn't keep her from family. She'll tell it like it is and you can count on her to be real about anything you bring to her. She is always there when you need her, she answers the phone at midnight and hops on a plane the second the family need her.

Kivlan and O'Connor met early in Freshman year at "The Prep" while trying out for the Rams not so difficult to make hockey team. From 0-17 in their freshman year to New York City Champions in their senior year many friendships and memories were created in those early years at "The Prep." Both John's share a passion for hockey, the outdoors and adventure. Eventually Kivlan also felt the call of the West moving to Portland, Denver, Boulder, Fairplay and finally to Breckenridge. Whether on rollerblades, hockey skates, skis, bikes or ropes Kivlan and O'Connor have been crushing it together for over 25 years from the Bronx to Breckenridge.

Lauren.. The baby sister with the oldest soul. Kind, funny, smart as a whip. Though 5 1/2 years apart Jaime and Lauren shared a lot of the same passions growing up, Jaime loved seeing Lauren follow in her foot steps from ice skating to golf. That didn't last long as Lauren's old soul kicked in and she took the lead.. She was the first to marry and the first to be a mama and bring into the world Jaime's neice Charly. Now, so many tables have turned and Jaime is always learning from Lauren. She's always got a wise word to say and loving smile to give, no room is as bright with out her.

Rick and John became friends during John's first summer in Breckenridge quickly finding out that they both came from NY, enjoyed mountain biking, skiing and the occasional adult beverage and subsequently spent the next 13 years battling for the title of "best skier on the mountain". Countless camping, hiking, biking, jeeping and ski trips to all corners of the mountain west culminating in September 2016 when they successfully completed climbing all 58 of Colorado's 14,000 Peaks. Most impressively they climbed over 50 of them together! Whether sidled up at the Quandary after a long day on the hill or stuck in a tent at 13,000 ft with no rain fly because one of them forgot it, Rick and John alway know how to have a good time.

Jaime and Karena met on a random beach in Ecuador on a random day in November of 2011. Jaime was living in Ecuador for 2 months learning spanish, traveling and surfing. Karena was backpacking through South America. Gypsy Soul Sisters from the first day, they bonded over being Colorado girls through and through. After traveling a couple weeks together, Karena gave Jaime her Chacos to take back to Colorado, solidifying they'd see each other again... And that was just the beginning of one crazy awesome friendship. After both returning state side there learned of their kindred spirits ran deeper than traveling from mountain adventures to music.
7. The Marsh Route

Jeb and John met while volunteering in Summit County (true story), putting on the Red Ball Beach Bash at Arapahoe Basin. Realizing they shared the same event management philosophy, "lets plan this but not over plan it..." they became fast friends. Jeb is responsible for dragging John up his first 14,000ft mountain, Handies Peak in Southwest Colorado and thus kickstarting his quest to climb them all. John, along with Rick, accompanied Jeb into Chicago Basin where Jeb completed climbing all the 14er's on his 40th birthday. Ever the inquisitive one, Jeb is the pioneer of the "Marsh Route" which essentially involves going the wrong way, over a much longer distance over, much more difficult terrain. Be forewarned if you ask him for directions in Mexico...

Growing up in a female dominated family and only three years apart Walter and John are more like brothers than cousins. From the early days of hanging out over Christmas breaks racing RC cars and playing competitive indoor hockey games to nights running around the Bronx and Manhattan Walter and John have enough stories to fill a book. After years dominating the New York Finance scene Walter relocated to the West Coast landing in the Bay Area and with John moving to Oregon they look forward to wreaking havoc together on a new coast. Indoor hockey games and UFC training (John may have accidentally kicked Walter in the face once) and long nights at Irish Pubs may turn into trips to wineries and earlier nights than years past but no guarantees.

Jackie came into John's life some time before he was born and every time Jackie would take him out in his stroller total strangers would immediately know that they were brother and sister. Even though they have lived in different areas of the country for many years the brother sister connection has always been strong and hardly a couple days go by without exchanging text messages updates or a funny anecdote. As it turns out, Jackie's affinity for family could only be match by Jaime's and the two hit it off during Jaime's first trip home over Christmas several years ago when Jackie indoctrinated Jaime the only way possible in Bronxville: A night out at Fogarty's. She's been like a sister to Jaime ever since including planning an amazing shower for all the east coast family.
