Easily John's favorite thing to do in Denver. Prepare for a 3hr+ lore-filled psychedelic museum experience that has you crawling through floors, and checking every door for hidden areas. We always make it an effort to experience their many locations throughout the US, but this location is our favorite.
Another place we make sure to visit during every Denver trip. A gorgeous garden, and may be the perfect time to see everything blooming!
Tubing, Skiing, and just tons of fun! Quite outside of Denver and the venue, but thought it should be added anyways!
Breckenridge is a Colorado town at the base of the Rocky Mountains’ Tenmile Range. It's known for its ski resort, year-round alpine activities and Gold Rush history. The Victorian core of this former mining town is preserved as the Breckenridge National Historic District, running primarily along Main Street, with colorfully painted buildings from the 1880s and '90s housing shops, galleries and restaurants. Check out their pizza and nearby trails! We linked our favorite one.
If flying into Colorado Springs, we cannot recommend the Garden of the Gods enough. It lives up to its name, and has tons of trails to explore. Be aware that it can get busy!
Our favorite trail in all of the Rocky Mountains! We have hiked this during the summer and blizzard seasons. Be on the lookout for native fish in the lakes! If you want to understand what made us fall in love with Colorado, go here.
Tons of great food here in this market! Also, plenty of walking around, with some frequent vintage/thrift events going on! Great place for brunch, or getting some oysters.
Will need reservations! A cultural icon location for tea.
This is our favorite pizza place, and we make it a very serious effort to come here immediately from the airport when arriving in Denver. Do arrive early! Detroit-style pizza.
One of our favorite Chinese places in Denver! the Dim-sum is OK, but their normal menu is FANTASTIC.
Major hidden gem here! Sake bar that has a comedy club in the back! Perfect date idea.
THIS is what all hotpot places should drive to be. Insanely affordable and the quality of the broth+meat is unbelievable. Also has Shaokao!
Upscale thai restaurant that has amazing duck. Perfect if youre feeling fancy and want some solid beer
