FAQs and Attire

The Wedding Website of John Pilon and Helen Chen
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, this event will be age 18+, as we will be keeping the ceremony very intimate.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! PLEASE let us know of any allergies, dietary restrictions, etc as we will be trying our best to ensure everyone is accommodated and can enjoy the celebrations!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Pavillion is an indoors venue, as we are not going to ask everyone to freeze in the snow! We will however, have plenty of time to enjoy the hot springs before and after the ceremony.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Expect it to be slightly snowy, and icey, so do take that into mind when planning your attire, especially your shoes! Fortunately, the venue is on-site at the hotel, and we will keep you dry indoors.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be a ticketing system, where each guest will get two tickets each!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Since we have a VERY special photographer who will be taking care of all photos, we ask that nobody take out their phone or take any photographs during the ceremony. Those caught doing so will be asked to put their phone away, as we want to ensure our photographer has an uninterrupted environment to work. All photos will be uploaded on this website after published!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress code for the ceremony will be black suit and black tie (no need for a tuxedo), while those coming to the rehearsal will be cocktail attire. If you have any questions if something will be ok, reach out to us! We dont want the attire to be too stressful for anyone. Groomsmen+Bridesmaids will have their own dress-code directly communicated to them.

Question

Who should I call for questions?

Answer

Please contact John directly for any additional questions.
