Flight

By Air

Chattanooga Municipal Airport (CHA) is the closest airport, about a 25-35 minute drive, depending on traffic. If you love a direct flight or budget airline, Atlanta (ATL) and Nashville (BNA) airports are two hours from Chattanooga, not including traffic. For Des Moines folks, Allegiant and Southwest offer direct flights to Nashville. When Grace is flying solo, she will usually fly to Nashville and take a Groome Transportation shuttle from BNA to Chattanooga. When it's both of us, we'll either fly into Chattanooga or rent a car from Nashville, depending on fares.

By Car

Chattanooga is a lot of things, but it is not a public transportation city. Renting a car at the airport is going to give you the most dependability and flexibility for the weekend. Please note: Uber and Lyft will drive you to Lookout Mountain, but they will NOT pick you up. Keep this in mind, if you were planning to uber to the airport or somewhere after the wedding. Maybe you make friends with a driver who will work a deal for you, but it's not the most dependable option. As most of our guests are likely to be staying on Lookout, within minutes of the wedding site, we are not providing additional transportation to Chattanooga hotels before or after the wedding ceremony. There is plenty of parking available, and you are more than welcome to drive yourself.

The Garden Walk Inn

We have reserved The Garden Walk Inn for our wedding guests. It's on the quirky side, but it's very much a summer camp feel. The rooms are themed....hop to it if you want the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil room! The Garden Walk is about three minutes from the wedding and reception site at Grandview. Rooms are limited. To reserve, please call 706-820-4127 and say you are with the Hedgecoth-Van Cleave wedding. Don't panic if you try to book online, and it says sold out. Since we have reserved the entire inn, online reservations are unavailable.
