Children are welcome at the welcome party and ceremony in Minturn. The celebration in Vail will be adult only. Please let us know if we can help with childcare recs in the valley.
Mountain Cocktail Attire For men: slacks, button downs, sport coats, ties are optional but not suggested. For women: cocktail dresses, slacks, or skirts. Anticipate uneven ground when selecting footwear. Birkenstocks, always welcome (and more than likely, what the bride will be wearing). The mountains can get chilly, even during the day, so we recommend having a warmer layer on hand.
Your presence is present enough. Truly!! We so appreciate everyone's efforts to attend and think of us on our wedding day. If you insist, in lieu of a full registry, two kinds of gifts we would love are either a bottle of wine that you love and maybe a note telling us why you love it, who you've shared it with, or where you've enjoyed it, or a contribution to our honeymoon fun fund! We look forward to enjoying these bottles and our trip to New Zealand together, and thinking of you while we do!
We were going to do it anyways, but we'd love to have you join us! Expect a chill 4 mile loop starting at the covered bridge in Vail Village. Not feeling a run? Grab a coffee and walk along the trail!
The ceremony venue is 6 miles up a gravel, climbing forest service road. It is about 40 minutes from Vail and took us about 20 minutes after turning off of the Hwy 24 in Minturn. It will be totally gorgeous in the fall so we expect "leaf peeping" traffic to slow these times a little. The road is level but rocky so we'd recommend a high clearance vehicle but saw a few sedans! We'd love to minimize the number of vehicles going up the road given its popularity by encouraging carpooling so please let us know if you're willing to drive or looking for a ride!
