Guatapé
Just two hours outside of Medellín, the charming town of Guatapé is perhaps best known for its large, climbable rock known as El Peñón de Guatapé (also known as Piedra del Peñol, or simply, “la roca” to locals). A perfect Day trip to escape the city and enjoy lakeside serene life and a beautiful small town! Attire: comfy shoes and breathable clothing. Lots of walking! Maybe pack a swimsuit if you're planning on enjoying the lake activities
Comuna 13
Comuna 13 today feels like a small urban community for the arts overlooking the skyscrapers of Medellin, Colombia. It wasn’t always this way. Comuna 13 was once one of the most dangerous cities in the world in the 1980s and 90s. We definitely recommend hiring one of the local tour guides who grew up and went through the dark, rich history of this community. Attire: comfy shoes and breathable clothing! Lots of walking!
Parque Arví
Parque Arvi is a giant nature reserve where activities include hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The best way to get there is using Medellin's infamous Metrocable lines. Attire: comfy shoes and breathable clothing
