We're getting married!

After some misadventures in online dating, we had our first date on April 30, 2019, and the search was over! After just a few dates we both knew we had found something special.

We love to go on adventures together, whether big or small. A Saturday afternoon hike at Squire's Castle, a weekend in Hocking Hills, a day spent visiting covered bridges. Together we make our own adventures. <3

We went to an observatory for a night sky viewing program. After the program, we wandered a little way away to stare at the stars. The park had places marked to represent the different planets. We wound up sitting "on Venus" to stare at the night sky. While chatting about the view and how nice it was, I mentioned I'd forgotten to make a wish on a star. John said he had already made his wish. When I asked if it had come true, he said, two years ago when he met me....and pulled out the ring and proposed. It was so dark I could not see the ring, and said "I can't see that, but yes!" The next day was Mother's Day, and we shared the news with our families.
