Welcome to our Happily Ever After

John and Alex first met their senior year of high school during a college visit to Cornell College. They were in the same tour group, attended a class together and even ate lunch together. At the end of the visit John and Alex exchanged social media information. John decided to not go to Cornell and chose the University of Indianapolis, instead to play baseball. Three years later, John transferred to Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, IA. He remembered Alex and reached out to take her on a date to Pancheros in November of 2016. John attended Alex's graduation from Cornell College in 2017 and met her entire family in one day! The summer after Alex graduated College, she traveled to coach at Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls in East Otis, MA and they kept in touch everyday. John sent her care packages and letters in the mail and they called each other everyday. When she returned, John FINALLY asked her to be his girlfriend. Since then, John and Alex have both graduated with their Masters Degrees in Business and Biology, respectively. They got a dog named Lloyd and he has become the center of their world. In January of 2021 they bought a house together in Cedar Falls, IA. John popped the question in February of 2021 at the most magical place on earth!

In February of 2021, Alex and John planned a trip to Orlando to visit John's parents, Doug and Penny. They decided to do a few days at Disney. On the first day at Disney, John surprised Alex with a photoshoot in front of the castle. They walked in the park at 9:00 a.m. and they were engaged by 9:15 a.m. The day ended eating dinner as a family at Cinderella's Castle. It was the most MAGICAL day!
