Our journey began in the summer of 2021. John grew up in Spring, Texas, and eventually moved to Indiana to attend Purdue University for Aerospace Engineering. 931 miles away, I was raised in New Port Richey, Florida, and decided to attend the University of Florida to study, coincidentally, Aerospace Engineering. By chance (or fate), we both landed internships in Colorado in the summer of 2021, for the same company, and in the same city. One evening, I hosted a party with my roommates, and by some luck, John happened to attend. We instantly connected, spending the entire night talking and laughing as if we had known each other for years. From that night on, we hung out together nearly every day, and just three weeks later, we began dating. When summer ended, we returned to our respective universities to finish our senior years. We made the long-distance relationship work for nearly a year, flying out to visit each other whenever possible. After graduation, we decided to take the next step and moved to Colorado together to start our full-time careers at the same company. In the spring of 2024, we took a dream trip to Scotland, where we roadtripped around the entire coastline. While visiting Loch Ness and hiking to a beautiful waterfall, John proposed on March 31st, 2024, surrounded by the stunning Scottish highlands that will forever feel familiar. Once back in Colorado, we promptly began planning the wedding, setting the date for July 19th, 2025. A new professional opportunity has recently lead us (and our cat Pluto) to move to Dallas, Texas! Though unexpected, we are fully embracing our new adventure and know that we will be happy anywhere that we are together. We could not be more thrilled to celebrate with all of our dearest friends and family later this summer back in Colorado! Cheers! And see you soon!
