Believe it or not, Lexie and John first met riding the same school bus the morning of our first day of middle school! We went to a small school and always knew each other, but it wasn't until our junior year of high school that it clicked. It was spring break and we were on a small group school trip to the east coast that we both desperately did NOT want to be on. But it was on that very trip in a CVS in Philadelphia (true story! sponsor us CVS?) that we started talking... and then never stopped! John asked Lexie to be his girlfriend just 2 weeks later by bringing her lunch with the message written on the bag because he was too nervous to just ask it -- shoutout to our bridesmaid and bff Kelsey for actually writing the words "will you be my girlfriend" on that bag for John, it set a lot of really good things in motion for us! We dated the rest of high school, carpooling everyday of senior year and attending both proms together, but then college meant dating long distance for awhile. We made it work beautifully despite being not just one but TWO plane rides away from each other, even coordinating it so we could spend the same semester studying abroad in Madrid. We had the best time exploring Spain and Europe together and made so many memories that will last a lifetime. After graduating college, we both moved back to Los Angeles and finally were able to move into our first home together! We have braved lockdown, brought home two wonderfully spoiled kitties, and worked from home side by side at the kitchen table for going on 4 years now. Then, in December of 2022, John proposed! He made up a story to get Lexie to their favorite restaurant in LA where they have celebrated all of their anniversaries, and once they were there he popped the question! Spoiler alert -- she said yes. We have come so far in our 9 years together, and we are so excited for all that is still to come and for you all to be a part of it!
