we're getting married!

John told Hannah they were going on a date on Friday & that he had made reservations for dinner. After dinner, they were going to go to a park to walk around, maybe take some pictures, & just talk. When John arrived to pick Hannah up for their date she still hadn't picked out her outfit, no surprise to him. Hannah was between two dresses: a white with tiny florals or a plain blue one. John picked the white one. Then they headed to dinner. When dinner was over, they were headed to the store really quick. Moments later, Hannah then picked a fight, claiming John hadn't been very sweet lately. Unbeknownst to her, her engagement ring was tucked snuggly in his pocket. After some pouting, a few tears, & an apology they headed off to the park. On the way to the park, Hannah was picking songs on John's phone but he kept taking it before she was done. One of the times he handed it back it was opened to Life360 where it showed his mom was at the park they were headed to. Hannah asked why & John responded that he didn't know. Then driving down the road, they spotted his mom's & brother's vehicles at his sister-in-law's mom's house. Hannah again asked what they were all doing there & again he claimed not to know, saying maybe they were all just hanging out. A few minutes later they arrived at the park & John drove around the whole parking lot asking Hannah if she was the mom of the sister-in-law's truck. She thought maybe she saw it, but John assured her that it wasn't hers. So Hannah believed that they were gone. They started walking through a beautiful field to the lake & Hannah made a few remarks about how it would be such a beautiful spot for photos or even a proposal. John just chuckled, as Hannah made these kinds of comments often. When they reached the lake, they sat on a picnic table & chatted for a while. After a few minutes, Hannah spotted someone in a bush behind him. While telling him how concerned she was, she heard someone behind her. She could see a girl crouched behind them in the tree line. At this point, Hannah became extremely worried & even asked if they should call the cops. John said no, but that they should probably leave. John suggested they head to the amphitheater across the park. As they were walking, John told Hannah to walk just ahead & he would take some photos of her walking. Really he was texting his brother in a slight panic & telling him the new spot they were headed. On the way, Hannah tried to stop & tell an employee about the bush people, but John said he didn't want to waste what little daylight they had left & that they could tell them later. Hannah begrudgingly agreed. When they got to the amphitheater, Hannah talked of how beautiful it would be to get married here & John, chuckled & said that it was a conversation for the future. Then they went to backside of a rock wall to take photos. Hannah ended up recording a video, too. Little did she know it was the last 8 minutes of being just his girlfriend. When it was time to head back, they walked around to the stage of the amphitheater. Hannah was trying to show John cute moments from the video they had taken & John asked if she could show him later. As Hannah put her phone away, he turned to face her straight on & asked "Do you know how much I love you?" He repeated himself again & Hannah answered "Yeah, I do." John said "I love you so much & I couldn't imagine my life without you. I want to show you how much I love you" as he reached into his pocket to get the ring. Hannah stared, frozen in disbelief. John encouraged her "I'm being serious" as he got down on one knee & asked "Honey, will you marry me?" Hannah (supposedly) didn’t answer before taking the ring out of John’s hand. He stood up & reminder her that she needed to give him an answer. That’s when she said yes & he helped her to get the ring on her finger. After that, his brother, mom & sister-in-law came out of the woods & it was revealed that it was them who Hannah saw in the bushes & trees.
