Welcome to the thunderdome

Animal fact: when penguins meet their mate, they will search far and wide for the perfect pebble to present to them. And that penguin will be their mate for life. We met online, as you do nowadays, and within 5 minutes of talking, Brian asked me out on a date. Our first date was at the romantic Buffalo Wild Wings bistro. We sat and grilled each other, interrogation style, and learned just what we needed to know. In the time of the Rona, we didn't "date" like you normally would any other time. We ordered a lot of take out instead of going to a restaurant. We stayed at home, watching movies and trash TV instead of going to a theater. When the world went crazy with a global pandemic, civil unrest, and an election year, we managed to find each other. And on Dec 19, 2020, Brian presented me the perfect pebble at the St. Louis Zoo in front of the penguin habitat. Our story is not different from many others in 2020. This is our story and it's perfectly imperfect, just like we are.
