Question

Is is true you guys are already married?

Answer

Yes! When we were looking at dates for the wedding, we realized that after all this time, we didn't want to have to wait on the crazy backed up wedding industry in order to actually be married. We were ready. So we had a very small, casual ceremony on November 6th at Maymont, but knew we really still wanted to be able to celebrate traditionally with ALL of our friends and family! We are so excited for the real deal.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your RSVP states "number attending: _ /2" then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional. You can Google it, or know that for men, if you want to be fancy and wear a tux go ahead, but you can also just wear a dark-colored suit. For women, you can go either gown or cocktail. The world is your oyster. If you want the excuse to really dress up, go for it!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If they aren't listed on your invitation, leave them with a sitter and enjoy your night with us!

Question

What do you mean your ceremony is unplugged?

Answer

We're asking all guests to not use any phones, cameras, or any other digital distractions during the ceremony - no pictures, nothing. The last thing we want is for our ceremony pictures to show people on their phones or getting in the way of the photographers' professional shots. Let our photographers capture how the moment looks, and allow yourself to capture how it feels. Then once the ceremony is over, go crazy and take all the pictures! And remember to use our hashtag #HePutAMorangOnIt when you post to social media!

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Short answer: No. Long answer: The hotel we blocked is walking distance to the wedding venue! Just four blocks away/a 6 minute walk. Uber/Lyft are also both widely available throughout Richmond.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Being in a business district, there is ample street parking on most weekends. Meters are free all weekend starting at 6pm Friday. If you would prefer, there is a parking garage at 13 North 5th Street (just one block over).

Question

I have a dietary restriction/food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Reach out to one of us and we will have our super awesome caterers make sure that you have options.

Question

Is the venue handicap-accessible?

Answer

The building is handicap accessible from the side entrance. Pull down the alley on 5th street just before the JM entrance. The number for the front desk attendant is 804-291-7095. Call and he can meet you as you arrive and escort you through so you don’t get lost within the building.
