Our venue is in East Aurora, NY. Not to be confused with Aurora, NY. Do not book lodging in Aurora, NY. If you're looking at spots near the Finger Lakes, please reset your location to the Buffalo area and save yourself the surprise of a lengthy commute on our wedding day. Airbnb's in East Aurora are limited, but there will be plenty of options in and around the city of Buffalo. We recommend looking in the Elmwood Village or Allentown neighborhoods.
It is not. In fact, Aurora is actually two hours and 20 minutes east of East Aurora (where our wedding will take place). They're in an entirely different part of the state! Whose idea was that?! Please make sure that you double check your location when you book lodging. And please make sure that location is East Aurora, NY.
The city of Buffalo is about 20 minutes from East Aurora, and you'll have a few options for getting there. There will be transportation from the city. Buses depart from the Wyndham Garden Buffalo Downtown for our venue at 3:45 p.m. Anyone staying or living in the city can and should take advantage of the bus service. You do not have to be staying in our hotel block to use the shuttle. At 10:30 p.m., both buses will depart Knox Farm for the city. One will go directly to the Wyndam Garden Hotel, and the other will go to our after-party (which is close to the hotel). Uber/Lyft/taxi service is available in the area. We recommend carpooling and arranging your rides in advance (probably just take the shuttle though). There is parking available at the venue for those who would prefer to drive.
All you have to do is ask yourself, "WWJD?" (What would Joey do?). He'd probably wear natural fibers... maybe a tie... definitely a really sharp blazer. Still not sure? Cocktail attire is preferred. Look fabulous. Capes optional.
Buffalo is very cool. And also fun! It's full of hidden gems and friendly folks and undeniable comfort food. Whether you're returning to the area or visiting for the first time, we can't wait to host you in the Queen City... the City of Good Neighbors... the crown jewel of Lake Erie. Check out our list of things to do for some travel inspo.
That's silly. Don't worry, the table will probably not be flaming.
