TRAVEL, HOTELS & PARKING

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is less than 20 minutes from the hotels and venues. Ride-shares like Uber and Lyft are reliable and easy to use. Most guests will not need a car during the weekend. The venues and all hotel blocks are within a short walking distance of each other. Validated parking is available on Saturday evening if you choose to drive. We have hotel blocks at four nearby properties, all less than a five-minute walk from the venues. WEEKEND SCHEDULE AND VENUES

SATURDAY: CEREMONY, RECEPTION & AFTER PARTY The big night begins with the ceremony at 5 PM, and flows directly into cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. These events all takes place within the same building, The Foundation For The Carolinas, and conclude at 11 PM. The venue is fully indoors and climate controlled, and late March in Charlotte is typically mild, with cooler evenings. The building offers a street level entrance and full elevator access throughout. The After Party will round out the evening across the street at the Dunhill hotel from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM. There will be late night snacks provided plus a cash bar. FRIDAY: WELCOME PARTY The festivities begin at 8:00 PM and end at 10:00 PM. The event will take place indoors at Discovery Place Science museum and is fully climate controlled. The event space is street level, with all activities taking place on one floor, no stairs required. *Please note - guests should arrive through the Event Entrance located at 301 North Tryon Street. There will be a large private event sign and an attendant at the door. This event will take place within an interactive exhibit space. Guests should expect an engaging environment designed for movement and exploration. SUNDAY: FAREWELL BRUNCH Breakfast will be served from 9:00 AM through 11:30 AM at Sophia’s Lounge at The Ivey’s Hotel. Guests may choose from a continental spread including coffee, tea, juice, pastries, fruit, and yogurt. A small hot menu will also be available and served via full table service for guests who wish to sit and dine. The restaurant can be accessed through the main hotel entrance, which offers elevator access. An additional entrance is located on West Fifth Street and includes a short set of stairs that leads directly into the restaurant. Guests are welcome to arrive with luggage.

WHAT TO WEAR

Saturday: Wedding Ceremony & Reception This is a Black Tie (optional) celebration with tuxedos and full-length gowns encouraged. We want everyone to feel elegant, elevated, and completely fabulous. Formal attire is absolutely welcome, but this is night to go all out! Friday: Welcome Party Colorful, playful, and festive!! Cocktail Attire, think dresses and slacks and bring your personality. Sunday: Farewell Brunch Come relaxed and comfortable. Travel-ready outfits are perfect. Luggage is OK too.

Saturday: Wedding Ceremony & Reception Please share any dietary needs when you RSVP. Cocktails (open bar), hors d'oeuvres and a seated dinner will all be part of the celebration. It's going to be a night of full hearts and full bellies! Friday: Welcome Party We’ll be serving lots of desserts, an open bar, and a small selection of warm savory bites. Sunday: Farewell Brunch Whether your looking for coffee and pastries on your way out of town or want to round out the weekend with a hot breakfast, we'll have plenty of options for everyone.

REHEARSAL DINNER

BY INVITATION ONLY SCHEDULE & VENUE The evening will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM, at which time guests will join the Bride & Groom to kick off the Welcome Party. The Rehearsal Dinner will be held indoors at Discovery Place Science museum. Guests should arrive through the event entrance located at 301 North Tryon Street. There will be event signage and an attendant at the door. The venue is fully indoors and climate controlled. Entry is street level and opens directly into the event space with no stairs required. WHAT TO WEAR Cocktail Attire: Dresses and jackets are appropriate. Think colorful, playful, and festive. FOOD & DRINK Light passed hors d’oeuvres will be served upon arrival followed by a buffet style dinner featuring a barbecue themed menu. An open bar will be available throughout the evening. Guests with dietary needs may share those details when responding to the RSVP.

KIDS & CHILDCARE

We’ve chosen to make the wedding an adults-only celebration. Outside of immediate family, children will not be included at the ceremony or reception. Answer

Phones are welcome, and we encourage you to take photos and videos throughout the evening. Please keep your phone on silent during the ceremony, and avoid using flash so everyone can enjoy the moment together. We’ll share a QR code at the wedding so you can add your photos to a shared album.

All registry information is available on our website REGISTRY page. We are registered with Zola, Bloomingdale’s, and Williams-Sonoma. If you choose to send a gift, we kindly ask that it be shipped rather than brought to the venue.
