Both graduates of Bethel-Tate, Joelle and Isaac first met in high school, though they were never particularly close and simply shared the same friend groups. Ironically, Isaac's closest connection to the Hebbard family was being a baseball teammate of Joelle's brother, Cole. Graduation came, Joelle went off to West Virginia University and Isaac went into the workforce. Upon finishing her degree and moving back to Cincinnati, Isaac saw an opportunity and reached out to the witty aerospace engineer. Joelle while initially hesitant to date the cute guy she hadn't thought of in years, was persuaded by a charming Isaac to go on a date. Already knowing each other's "where you from" and other first date questions, they opted for a Jason Aldean concert, sharing their love of music. After having plenty of time to talk and reconnect in traffic on the way home, they found something special and unexpected. And the rest is history.

Isaac knew that he wanted to create a special memory to be able to forever look back on. He told Joelle that they were going to have family photos at his sister's house. Jokingly, Joelle asked if she needed to have her nails done, but Isaac was able to deflect any suspicion that arose. The morning of the "family photos" came and off they went, Joelle no longer suspicious (even saying "well I guess I'm not getting proposed to today") due to Isaac somehow acting completely normal. When they arrived, Joelle found a path of rose petals that led to chairs around a table with a bouquet of flowers on it. This is when Joelle realized they were not actually getting family photos and the emotions started flowing. Once they got to the end of the path, Isaac got down on one knee and it was there that he proposed to the girl he had dreamed of spending his life with.
