We're getting married

We met at the ice rink on August 23rd, 2022, when Jahnyha came in for an interview, and Joel was working the front desk. She thought that was the first time we had ever seen each other… but it wasn’t for Joel. A month earlier, he had noticed Jahnyha’s senior year hockey poster hanging on the wall and followed her on Instagram. She followed him back, never thinking much of it. The day of the interview, we somehow ended up spending the next eight hours talking while Joel worked. When he went on his lunch break, he invited Jahnyha to In-N-Out, and after his shift ended, we both went home… only to meet right back at the rink again for another four hours together. One of Joel’s favorite parts of the story is when he forgot Jahnyha’s name. She asked him what it was, and he said, “Well, you know.” Jahnyha replied, “Oh, I know — but what is it?” And just like that, he was caught. From that day on, almost every day we found ourselves hanging out, talking for hours on end. What started as an interview quickly turned into the beginning of something we never expected but are forever grateful for.
