You would never think that after a long shift you'd be meeting your future spouse while filling up a sanitizer bucket. When Bailee first moved to Florida she had no friends and started a new job in a new area. She started working at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club (where we are getting married) and had no knowledge of being a fine dining server let alone the area she now is living in. After working at the club for a couple weeks she went to the back to the three sink compartment of the kitchen and saw Joel hogging the whole sink and left because he scared her. He then heard her coming so she turned around and told her he's done and that she can use the sink. He continued to follow up with he question are you scared of me? And while pretending to be cool, calm and collected she said no, why would I be? He then decided to spark a conversation with asking why she walked away and if she was new to the club and area. Later that night before he left he came up to her then continued to hand her his number and offer to take her around town as a friend to just get to know the area. We then continued to be just friends even though he didn't want to be for a little over a year. Bailee left and went back to college until Covid hit and had to move back to Florida for a year and half. When she came back we both saw each other and it was as if no time had passed and it wasn't just friends feelings anymore. We knew it was something more. He asked her to be his girlfriend on September 2nd, 2020. She was afraid and didn't want to because she had college to go back to meaning long distance and we were such good friends she was scared things would change for the bad. Joel told her nothing was going to change and the feelings we have are strong and unbreakable. And now, here we are getting married February 4th, 2022 and nothing has changed in feelings for each other other than how much stronger the love has grown everyday.
After a busy day at work Bailee could tell something was going through Joel's head for a while and Bailee started cleaning up doing her side work and Joel asked her to come out side because he had something to show her. While walking outside all Bailee could talk about was how sick she felt from eating all the soup she did (It was really good soup!). He took her to where we planned on having our ceremony and started his speech that all we've ever wanted was to get married and have a future together and he then proceeded to get down on one knee and asked for Bailee to be in his life forever and asked her to be his wife as she obviously said yes to!!
